Across nearly every NDE account, survivors describe encountering an overwhelming, personal, loving Light — and Burke invites us to consider who that Light is.

Discussion Questions

7 questions

1.NDE survivors across cultures and religions consistently describe a Being of Light — radiant, warm, all-knowing, and filled with unconditional love. What is your initial reaction to those descriptions? Do they align with your picture of God?

2.Burke notes that while people of different religious backgrounds interpret the Being of Light differently (some say Jesus, some say God, some use no name), the *experience itself* is remarkably consistent. What does that consistency suggest to you? What questions does it raise?

3.Revelation 21:23 says the New Jerusalem 'does not need the sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.' How does this Scripture connect to what NDE survivors describe? What do you find striking about that connection?
