1.NDE survivors frequently describe colors they cannot name — more vivid than anything on earth — as well as music, gardens, architecture, and landscapes of impossible beauty. What is your gut reaction to these descriptions? Do they seem too good to be true, or do they stir something in you?

2.Burke connects the NDE descriptions of Heaven's landscape to Revelation 21–22: a city with foundations of jewels, rivers of living water, and the tree of life. What does it mean to you that the Bible uses such intensely physical, material language to describe eternity?

3.Romans 8:19–21 speaks of creation itself longing to be set free from its bondage to decay. Burke suggests the New Earth will be a perfected, redeemed version of this earth — not its replacement but its restoration. How does that idea change how you think about the natural world you live in now?
