Discussion Questions
7 questions1.Isaiah 52:1–2 commands the captive daughter of Zion to 'awake, awake, put on your strength…loose yourself from the bonds of your neck.' Moore makes much of the fact that this is a *command* issued to the captive, not only a promise made to her. What does that say about the active role every believer must play in appropriating their freedom?
2.Galatians 5:1 says, 'Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.' Moore describes the tendency of freed people to drift back toward old captivities. What mechanisms make that drift so common? Have you experienced it yourself?
3.She discusses the idea of *renewing the mind* (Romans 12:2) as the ongoing, daily work of maintaining freedom — not a one-time crisis experience but a lifestyle. What does daily mind renewal look like concretely for a person who has just experienced a significant breakthrough from a stronghold?
