7 questions1.Shirer draws on Elijah's experience at Mount Horeb to illustrate that God's voice often comes not in the wind, earthquake, or fire — the dramatic and spectacular — but in the still small voice. What does this tell us about how we should position ourselves to hear God? Are you naturally a person who looks for the dramatic or the quiet?
2.One of the key markers of God's tone that Shirer highlights is that it is never condemning. Romans 8:1 declares there is "no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." How do you distinguish between the Holy Spirit's *conviction* (which draws you toward God) and the enemy's *condemnation* (which drives you into shame)? What does each feel like in your experience?
