7 questions1.Hebrews 4:12 calls the Word of God "living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword." Shirer argues this is not poetic exaggeration but a literal description of how Scripture functions in the believer's life. Describe an experience when the Word of God felt genuinely alive to you — when it cut through the surface of your situation with startling precision.
2.Shirer makes an important distinction: God will never contradict His written Word when He speaks specifically to you. This is both a protection and a boundary. How have you used this principle — consciously or unconsciously — in your own experience of guidance?
3.The road to Emmaus story (Luke 24) shows two disciples who had heard the resurrection reports but were still walking in confusion and grief — until Jesus walked alongside them and opened the Scriptures. Their hearts "burned within them" as He explained the Word. Have you experienced that kind of burning clarity in Scripture? What were the circumstances?
