7 questions1.Evans describes children as 'arrows' in Psalm 127 — they are meant to be aimed and released with purpose. What does it mean to 'aim' your children well? What does a child need from a father in order to be aimed toward their God-given destiny rather than just left to drift?
2.Deuteronomy 6 commands fathers to talk about God's word when sitting, walking, lying down, and getting up — in other words, in the rhythms of ordinary life. How are you (or how might you) weave faith into the everyday moments with your children, rather than compartmentalizing it to church?
3.Evans is honest about the damage done by fathers who are harsh, absent, or who give attention only when a child performs or achieves. What kind of atmosphere — emotionally, spiritually — does your home have? Do your children experience you as safe and approachable?
