6 questions1.Strobel describes the concept of 'fine-tuning': the physical constants of the universe (like gravity, the speed of light, and the ratio of electrons to protons) are set to values so precise that the slightest variation would make life — or even matter — impossible. Give one or two examples from the chapter that stuck with you. Why did those examples stand out?
2.Scientists sometimes describe the fine-tuning of the universe using the analogy of a control board with hundreds of dials, each of which must be set to an almost impossibly precise value. How does this image help you grasp what fine-tuning means? Does it feel like an adequate picture?
3.One common response to fine-tuning is the multiverse theory — the idea that there are an infinite number of universes, and we just happen to live in the one where the numbers worked out. Strobel examines this idea critically.
