Do you find this to be true in your own experience? Can you think of a time when what looked like anger was really deep grief?
2.Psalm 44 is a bold communal lament in which the people accuse God of selling them "for a pittance" and sleeping while they suffer. Vroegop argues that this kind of angry, accusatory prayer is not sinful but is itself an act of faith — because the people are still talking to God. What distinguishes angry lament from sinful rage? Where is the line?
3.The author contrasts two ways of handling spiritual anger: turning it toward God in lament (which keeps us connected to him) versus turning it away from God in bitterness (which severs the relationship).
