Hughes defines integrity as the quality of being the same person in every context — public and private, at work and at home, when watched and when unobserved. These questions are designed to probe the gap between the man you present and the man you actually are.

1.Hughes defines integrity as wholeness — the word comes from the same root as "integer," a whole number. What does it mean for a man to be "whole" — undivided between his public and private selves? Where do you experience the most division?

2.Psalm 15 describes the man who is welcome in God's presence as someone who "swears to his own hurt and does not change" — a man who keeps promises even when it costs him. Can you think of a recent situation where keeping your word would have cost you something? What did you do?

3.Hughes points to the workplace as one of the primary testing grounds for integrity — expense reports, how you treat subordinates, what you say about competitors, how you spend company time. How well does your professional conduct align with your stated Christian convictions?
