Lord Jesus, we have sat at the feet of your Word and the feet of your saints, and we have heard one thing above all others: you are gentle and lowly in heart. You are not frustrated with us. You are not close to giving up on us. Your mercies are new every morning, your love is everlasting, your heart is more tender than we dared believe. We receive this — imperfectly, partially, gratefully. Go on teaching us. Go on drawing us. And send us into the world as people who have actually rested in you — so that others might learn what kind of Savior we have. Amen.
