Before diving into the story, it helps to understand why the story matters — and why so many of us have struggled to stay in it. Take a few moments to sit honestly with these questions.
Discussion Questions
8 questions1.Tara-Leigh Cobble opens by describing her own frustrating history with trying to read the Bible — feeling lost, bored, or guilty for quitting. How does her honesty about this struggle make you feel? Does it describe your own experience?
2.The Bible Recap is built on the conviction that the whole Bible tells one unified story about who God is. Before you begin, how would you currently describe the Bible — is it a rulebook, a collection of stories, a history book, or something else? What has shaped that view?
3.Cobble introduces the anchor question that closes every single daily recap: "Where did you see God in today's reading?" Why do you think she chose this as the organizing question rather than, say, "What did you learn?" or "What should you do differently?"
