8 questions1.John 1:1–14 opens with "In the beginning was the Word" — an unmistakable echo of Genesis 1:1. How does seeing Jesus as the living embodiment of God's creative and redemptive Word change the way you read both the Old Testament and the Gospels?
2.In Matthew 5:17, Jesus says He has come not to abolish the Law and the Prophets but to fulfill them. After spending seven weeks in the Old Testament with Cobble as your guide, what does that statement mean to you now in a way it might not have before? What specific Old Testament threads do you see fulfilled in Jesus?
3.Cobble consistently directs readers back to God's character, and in the Gospels that character walks and talks and touches lepers and weeps at tombs. Which moment in Jesus' ministry — a healing, a conversation, a miracle, a confrontation — most clearly showed you who God is? Why did that moment in particular land on you?
